Shizuri Mugino (VA: Ami Koshimizu)
The leader of ITEM, one of Academy City’s underground organizations. She is the Number Four of the seven Level 5s in Academy City and her ability, Meltdowner, forces electrons into an ambiguous state between particles and waves, allowing her to manipulate them. Within ITEM, she is responsible for planning operations and serves on the front lines, leveraging her overwhelming firepower. She has a self-centered personality and is surprisingly short-tempered. Although she usually comes across as a level-headed, caring older sister figure, she is also the heiress to the Mugino Family, a gang organization run by her family, and shows no regard for the law or morality when it comes to solving problems. She’s a battle-crazy fighter with exceptional athletic ability, but she’s at that age where she wants to achieve a more mature physique by improving her diet. Her favorite food is a salmon bento, and she prefers rice over wheat.
Frenda Seivelun (VA: Maaya Uchida)
A blonde, blue-eyed girl who belongs to ITEM, a Level 0. She serves as the vanguard during missions. She is the only member of ITEM who fights without using esper abilities; in addition to hand-to-hand combat that leverages her superior physical abilities, she specializes in traps that make use of explosives. She has an optimistic and carefree personality. She’s incredibly sociable, making friends as naturally as breathing and boasts an astonishingly wide circle of friends. To put it kindly, she’s the life of the party; to put it less kindly, she has a reckless side, which comes out even in the heat of a deadly battle. That said, she possesses a rare personality that allows her to comfortably befriend and interact with the otherwise unstable Mugino, and she also shows a kind-hearted side toward her comrades. Her favorite food is canned mackerel. She has a younger sister named Fremea.
Rikou Takitsubo (VA: Aya Suzaki)
A recon specialist belonging to ITEM. Her ability, AIM Stalker, allows her to record, search for, and track a target’s AIM diffusion field; her ability level is classified as Level 4. Utilizing this ability, she is responsible for tracking and locating targets, making her a pivotal figure in operations and a true trump card. She has a gentle and reserved personality. She often appears to be daydreaming, as if constantly receiving radio waves, giving her a soothing, calming presence that seems out of place for a member of a shadowy organization. Incidentally, her daydreaming stems from her hobby of “AIM diffusion field bathing”. While her figure is just as curvaceous as Mugi’s, it’s hard to tell because she always wears a pink tracksuit.
Saiai Kinuhata (VA: Chinatsu Akasaki)
A newcomer who joined ITEM through an incredibly lucky turn of events. She is a Level 4 whose esper ability, Offense Armor, allows her to freely manipulate nitrogen in the air. Leveraging this ability, she is entrusted with the role of shield for ITEM, a position they had been lacking. She’s relatively level-headed compared to the rest of the group. She was once a test subject in a certain esper development program, but since the project itself was scrapped, she currently has nowhere to return to. However, she doesn’t seem particularly motivated, as she believes she’s fine anywhere as long as her basic needs, food, clothing, and shelter are met. While she’s caring and considerate, she also has a side that gets lonely easily. She’s a fan of shady B- and C-movies, making her an eccentric in a different way from the other members.
Choubi Hanano (VA: Hana Hishikawa)
A girl who ended up joining ITEM after being introduced by the liaison known as the “Voice on the Phone”. She is a Level 0, and her abilities are unknown. She excels at disguises, possessing skills far beyond what could be explained by her theater club membership; she can copy not only a person’s appearance and mannerisms but also their speech patterns, voice tone, and even body odor, regardless of gender or age, and replicate every physical trait down to fingerprints, dental impressions, eye structure, and blood type. Thanks to this skill, which has earned her the seal of approval from the dark side as a top-tier asset, she is an infiltration specialist capable of bypassing even the most stringent security measures. She has a serious and timid personality. She is constantly nervous and fidgety, and her appearance has been described as that of a small, animal-like girl, like a soaking-wet Chihuahua. As evidenced by the fact that she became the fifth member of ITEM, she suffers from a streak of bad luck that is both miraculous and fatally ill-timed in every aspect, often forcing her into isolation.
