Subaru and his allies barely win the brutal battle in the Watergate City of Pristella, but at a high price. Rem remains in an endless sleep due to the Authority of Gluttony, Crusch’s memories are still missing, and Julius has lost his very name.

In the midst of searching for a solution, Subaru learns of the all-knowing Sage Shaula. They set their sights on the Pleiades Watchtower, where the Sage resides. The lone tower stands at the edge of the vast Augria Sand Dunes, a deadly desert even the strongest Sword Saint, Reinhard, could not conquer.

Fierce terrain, unknown witchbeasts, and unimaginable threats stand in their path. Together with his companions, Subaru begins another perilous journey, staking his life to reclaim everything taken from him.

Subaru Natsuki (VA: Yusuke Kobayashi)
The protagonist of our story. Ignorant, talentless, powerless, and reckless, completely missing everything a main character needs. With his brashness and natural bravado, he faces his harsh fate head-on, all while grumbling through adversity.

Emilia (VA: Rie Takahashi)
A beautiful half-elf girl with silver hair and amethyst eyes—features exactly like the Witch of Envy who nearly destroyed the world long ago. But she’s actually a kind-hearted girl, though she refuses to admit it for some reason. She’s always accompanied by Puck, a small cat-shaped spirit. She is also one of the candidates in the next royal selection to determine the next ruler of the Kingdom of Lugunica.

Meili Portroute (VA: Eri Suzuki)
The girl behind the witchbeast attack in Arlam Village, where she cursed Subaru and unleashed hordes of ulgarms. Her true identity is the assassin known as the Witchbeast Master. She and Elsa are like sisters.

Shaula (VA: Fairouz Ai)
The Star Keeper of the Pleiades Watchtower, which stands in the deepest reaches of the uncharted great desert, the Augria Sand Dunes. She has striking, scorpion-like features and an eccentric appearance. Her words and actions are shrouded in mystery. The Sage Shaula, one of the Three Great Heroes who saved the world, is recorded in legend as a young man, but her true identity remains unknown.

Reid Astrea (VA: Tomokazu Sugita)
The first Sword Saint who founded House Astrea 400 years ago. He is remembered in history as the strongest swordsman, unmatched in talent. In the Kingdom of Lugunica, he is known as one of the Three Great Heroes who saved the world, and remains the ideal many swordsmen aspire to. He is also said to have been a bold and extraordinary figure.
